HollyWeird is dying, and it's deliberate.

Great points. I agree. I also recently saw Disclosure Day and there are parts that don't hold up and do feel dated. There's so much that Spielberg could have done with the story, but didn't. I'm wondering if it's because mainstream Hollywood is looking to play things safe to make a profit. Sequels and reboots can make a lot of money at the box office if done right, but then Hollywood comes off as out of touch. Although "I Love Boosters" didn't all come together for me, I still give it praise because it's a unique film. Sure, I love my sequels and reboots, but honestly, I'd love to see a really unique take on Star Wars (or another big IP). I think studios are hesitant to take risks because of fears that a film won't turn a profit.

I miss movies that deal with real people, and to be completely honest I wasn’t too excited for latest Spielberg movie even though I consider myself a fan of his original movies.

Wasn't it just last year we were celebrating warner brothers hot streak of original films?

We were. Where did they go this year?

Coincidentally they just releases teaser today for a fascinating new Innaratu/cruise film. Very intrigued. I'm hoping Supergirl makes bank this weekend but we know magamerica doesnt like women led superhero films.
