I just can't get on board with Anora. Please hear me. It's Pornography. It should be NC 17. It's dumb as well. The whole premise is beyond fantasy. Why would anyone think that that Russian kid would be someone you could take seriously. The religious advisor/leader panicking and searching (really?), and what city was that in? Chicago? Anyway, I could go on, but any young man that watches that filth, will be more inclined to go out to strip clubs and bring home prostitutes. Nice.
After watching Red Rocket, then Anora, I just wonder if he can make a movie beyond nudity and sex. I am no prude. I’ve seen everything from Last Tango in Paris, to the Dreamers to (Name any Paul Verhoeven movie) to A Clockwork Orange (Dildo noses and all). In just felt that more than anything, it’s an advertisement for young girls to find the adult industry and enjoy the perks.

Oh don’t be a prude. It’s real life. It’s a great film.
Anora was an excellent film. First act may have a bit drawn out, but it was funny and had a very heartfelt final scene. Nice content Jeff.
