If the studio takes $50 and the scalpers demand $100+, why are the studios doing this?

- Are they just indifferent? Some bored manager said: "ah make 20k and then forget about it"

- are they underhandedly selling on the scalper market themselfs?

- is this a conspiracy with some managers who have a stake in the success of streaming actively sabotaging physical releases?

- it makes no sense for the Studios to leave money on the floor for scalpers to pick up, does it? If it does, please some one enlighten me?

Is this still explainable with incompetence and indifference or is this intentional malice?

by the way, the film is still available on Amazon in the UK for 23 GBP in a standard edition. That is where I ordered mine. The Steelbook situation is just as bad here in Germany as it is in the US. This is why I do not get it. The US and German labels are actively subsidising their counterparts in the UK. Yes ultimately it all flows back to the same corporation. But US and German managers also get bonuses if they sell more, do they not?
